Managing exclusivity helps your brand to maintain control over which articles and content are shared with which retailers.
By assigning catalogs and marketing files to specific retailer groups, only retailers belonging to these selected groups can access the assigned catalogs and marketing files. Retailers who aren't part of these groups won't see any of these exclusive materials and won't be able to interact with them by ordering or downloading.
The essential prerequisites for making catalogs or material exclusive are setting up one or multiple Retailer Groups and create a Catalog and Upload Marketing Material. By then assigning the respective groups to catalogs or marketing files you have full control on how things are shared via Fashion Cloud.
Exclusive Catalogs
Once you are set, you can assign a catalog to one or multiple retailer groups.
1. Click on Data Manager in the main menu. Select the brand your catalog belongs to on the left. Click on the 3 dots next to the catalog and select Manage Access.
2. Activate the toggle Grant exclusive catalog access. Select the desired retailer group(s) from the drop-down menu. You can, of course, select multiple. Finally, to make the catalog exclusively visible for your selected retailer group(s), click Save.
In the catalog overview you will now see the assigned retailer group(s) next to your catalog.
Exclusive Marketing Material
1. Assignment of Retailer Groups: Brands can assign retailer groups to marketing files via the edit panel.
Reminder: The retailer groups need to be created per brand in order to assign them here.
Once selected, you will see your assigned groups as shown below:
2. Exclusivity Badges for brands: Exclusive access badges will be displayed on assigned files in both edit and file overview modes whenever groups are assigned and the step was saved, providing visual cues for brand users what is accessible for which group.
⚠️ Retailers are not able to see which retailer groups they are assigned to - the group badges or any other exclusivity cues won’t be visible for them. Retailers will also not be able to see and/or download content of groups that they are not assigned to.
3. Applying Exclusive Access: Once files are assigned to groups, they become exclusive and inaccessible for non-assigned retailers. This means that for those retailers:
The files will not be visible and downloadable in Marketing Material
Thumbnails of unassigned exclusive content will be hidden and not show up in Folder covers
If folders only contain files that the retailer is not assigned to they will not be shown to the retailer
Exclusive Storage Allocation
Stock can be allocated to retailers based on retailer groups. When you grant access for reorder to a retailer, they have, by default access, to all stock. You can then create a retailer group, assign such retailer to the group, and then allocate a storage to that retailer group. This ensures that when a retailer from a particular retailer group tries to access stock from your brand, only the allocated storage will be used instead of all available storage.
To get a better understanding of how it works, please have a look at the following:
1. There has been no storage allocated to any retailer group yet and all retailers see all available stock.
2. In this step we show how you as a brand can allocate exclusive stock to a retailer group: Within your group, click on Manage under Stock Allocation. Select the storage you would like to assign to the retailer group. Finally, to apply the changes, click Save.
Your settings are now active and you will see the assigned storage within the retailer group settings as shown below.
3. As a result, retailers within the retailer group only see the storage you just assigned to them.
To use this feature, your brand account needs to share storage information with us. Please reach out to your contact person at Fashion Cloud in order to set up this functionality.
